About Tracie Tracie Austin was born in England 1965.
Having completed various studies at Cauldon College of Further Ed. in 1984, Tracie re-located to London a year later to study at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama as a concert pianist, and to teach her instrument in schools. Her interest in UFOs first began there, when she witnessed a UFO, an event that would later change her life!

In 1989, Tracie moved back to her hometown of Staffordshire to teach piano/keyboard to numerous students, and became Project Manager of a popular music tuition agency. Her second daylight sighting occurred in May of 1996. A profound sighting of a black, boomerang object that changed shape, was observed by other witnesses, and made a second appearance that day over her house! The Television channel "BBC Digital" became aware of her sighting, and during the making of their TV documentary titled "Over the Moon", Tracie told her story and re-enacted her sighting.

It was in June of 1996, that she hosted her first UFO conference, which became a major success. Radio appearances followed, as well as articles in local newspapers and invitations to speak on the subject at various organizations. A second conference followed in 1998.

Research into the UFO phenomena has been an on-going process since her first sighting in 1987, and she has investigated some highly strange UFO activity. Personal sightings of UFOs continue to date.

Tracie was invited as MC, and a guest speaker at the 2005 annual MUFON symposium in Denver.

Tracie is the Executive Producer and Host of her own cable TV talk show originally produced in California and now located in Las Vegas called "Let's Talk...Paranormal" which has become quite a success in the USA.

 Lisa Zierenberg  is a senior investigator for New England Paranormal and have been with them for a little over 4 years now and I teach "The Science of Ghost Hunting" at the Boston Center for Adult Education with Dave Manch. I work closely with TAPS and assist on their cases when needed. TAPS and NEP work together on a lot of cases and I sometimes have TAPS trainees with me on my cases.

Samm McPherson

 

Samm’s experience with the Paranormal has been a life-long one.   As an Empath and Psychic Medium growing up very much aware that while unique as she was, there would be very little understanding and acceptance of her gifts, she found solace in pen and paper, and books.

 

With the fabulous sense of humour she is known for, she often jokes of having a great poker face (though she doesn’t know the game).  Having found it necessary to develop this in childhood when seeing and hearing spirits and fearing her mother would ‘Call the men with white coats’ to take her away she kept this part of herself, what she deems the greatest part of herself very much a secret.  In this time in her life, Samm has and continues to grow into herself, refusing to “hide”.

 

“The only way to develop true self-esteem and confidence is to be loved exactly as you are,” is merely one of the life lessons she has come to discover.

 

As well as being a Psychic Medium, Samm is a writer.  She holds her friends dear to heart, truly believes in the power of the Greater Good, and in the possibilities of each and every one of us.  It is in the spirit of this that she created ParaLight, an online magazine showcasing a positive paranormal community.

 

While she's not entirely certain what the future will bring, a move to the US is inevitable.  She will always be true to her passion for writing, and looks forward to a long and wonderful continued relationship with the Ghost Hunters, Fellow Mediums, and Spirits she has grown to know and love.

- I'm the author of the book "Cemetery Walk," which takes readers into

the cemetery and beyond, and explores the history, art and culture of

our cemeteries. For the project, I interviewed cemetery sextons,

gravediggers, preservationists, writers, artists, authors, ghost

hunters, the director of a funeral museum, a leading genealogist and

an assortment of taphophiles. Plus a Voodoo queen in New Orleans. I

traveled  all over the country (Midwest, New England and New Orleans)

and interviewed people from all over (Florida to Oregon).

 

- I am the founder/editor/designer of Epitaphs Magazine. It's an

independent, currently ad-free magazine published three times per

year. Submissions are received on a voluntary basis. We have a small

but growing fan base that is very dedicated to the magazine. My lead

writer/contributor is Dusty Smith, who is fabulous. She is a cemetery

restorationist and preservationist, among many other things (see

below). Ryan Seidemann is my Louisiana expert, Polly Yuill is my

favorite London photographer who has provided amazing photos of Kensal

Green Cemetery. I am very blessed (and so are our readers) to have

such amazing contributors. We're like family.

 

- I've got a few books in the fire right now ... there are always

ideas smoldering.

 

- My next major project is a book called "Ghost Walk," and I'm

collecting stories and interviews for it now. I've ventured into the

cemeteries (which I'm obsessive about); now I'm venturing into the

world of paranormal investigators. I want to know what makes them

tick. What draws them to the paranormal. What have they learned? What

keeps them coming back for more? What do they want to find out? What

do other people think of what they do? I'm in the beginning phases of

this project, and I'm a ghost enthusiast, myself. I've had some

experiences, and I want to know more about what I've felt and seen. I

want to know more!

 

- I teach classes: cemetery art and history, gravestone rubbing,

writing, self-publishing, etc. I will also be doing a talk this

October in Rock Island, Ill., on Haunts of the Quad Cities (our local

area), which I plan to turn into a book, as well.

 

- Haunted places I've been: Bachelor's Grove Cemetery near Chicago,

Lizzie Borden house, Lincoln Theater in Decatur, Ill. (I went to the

recent AGS conference a couple weekends ago), the St. Augustine

Lighthouse in Florida, haunted tours in New Orleans and New England.

She has as much energy as a hydroelectric plant, virtually running on water alone, and somewhere down the line, must be related to Annie Oakley.  Her name is Phylis B. Canion, Phyl for short.  She divides her time between actively practicing as a nutritionist and working as a small business entrepreneur in her retail/embroidery shop.  Two years and 26 chickens later, the Chupacabra met his match.   Not really, but it sounds good.  Heavy rains and lowland flooding caused the creature to stir, resulting in a vehicle collision.  The rest is simply history, but the legend truly lives on.

Bio: When I was nineteen years old I left college to join the Organic Theater Company in Chicago. We wrote plays based on whatever interested us at the time. One of the plays was based on the tarot cards. In order to familiarize myself with the subject, I bought a deck of tarot cards. I have been reading the cards ever since.

Eventually I went back to school and majored in Anthropology while taking as many theater courses and appearing in as many plays as I could. I became fascinated by the connection between ritual and theater, especially in societies that don't make a distinction between the two. I felt that theater in modern society lost its ability to make a deep impact when it became mere entertainment to amuse and dazzle a mostly passive audience. At this time I was reading Carlos Castaneda's books and was moved by his teachings and experiences, especially after I had an intense out-of-body experience in my junior year.

In 1980 I moved to New York City to pursue a career in acting. One day, as I was walking through a bookstore, a book found its way into my hands. The title was The Way of the Shaman by Michael Harner. That book offered me what I had been searching for: a way for someone who grew up in a modern, industrialized society to integrate shamanic teachings into her life without having to move to the Amazonian jungles or the Siberian steppes. I took Michael Harner's course in core shamanism and went on to study soul retrieval with Sandra Ingerman. I did soul retrievals and power animal retrievals on friends.

About seven years after moving to New York, I received guidance that I was to move from acting to writing. I took writing courses at Ensemble Studio Theater, The New School and with Natalie Goldberg, author of Writing Down the Bones. To date I have written two novels and over thirty short stories. I also took a course called "Spiritual Autobiography" with Dan Wakefield at the New School which, along with Natalie Goldberg's work, helped connect me to the idea of writing as a spiritual practice. I taught fiction writing and Spiritual Autobiography at the Rochambeau School in White Plains, NY and at Westchester Community College.

In 2002 I became a partner in a holistic healing center in Dobbs Ferry, New York, where I offered tarot cards readings, soul and power animal retrievals, shamanic drumming circles and meditation classes.

The shamanic work and meditation classes led me to hypnotherapy and the Holistic Healing Center in Chestnut Ridge, New York. I find hypnotherapy to be yet another way for us to communicate with our souls, or to use the Western terminology, with our subconscious and super conscious.

I believe that these modalities (as well as many others) are different paths that lead us to the same place: wholeness, or as Carl Jung puts it, individuation. As I continue my own journey towards wholeness, I invite you to share a piece of the path with me - if I am going your way.

I am a New York State Certified School Psychologist with extensive experience with administering and interpreting psychological assessments, treatment planning, curriculum development, crisis intervention, neuro-somatic education, counseling, radio hosting, yadda yadda...

While working as a School Psychologist at Green Chimney’s School (a residential and day school located in Brewster, NY), I designed and implemented a classroom program for children with Asperger’s Syndrome and related disorders. Parts of the program have been published in several academic journals.

In addition to my clinical experience, I teach Psychology at both Manhattanville and Mercy Colleges. I also taught at Marymount College of Fordham University until it’s closure in May 2007.

I am presently conducting research projects in the areas of Universal Somatics and human sexuality and writing a book on Dissociative Identity Disorder with a woman who has been diagnosed with DID. Additionally, I have been featured on WRKI FM in Brookfield, CT and on News 12 Westchester with regard to my therapy services. I have been published in a variety of academic journals including the New York Association of School Psychologists publication "School Psychologist" and "Advance for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists". I have served as chairperson of several community-based organizations and was appointed as a member of the Adjunct Faculty Advisory Council at Westchester Community College.

All of that is somewhat interesting but what is even more interesting is what I am doing right now at Soma Space with my partners!!

I'm a board certified Doctor of Chiropractic in my 17th year of practice, which has also included 10 years of field research on social brain development. In 1999 and 2000, I published peer-review research in the Journal of Vertebral Subluxation Research and was awarded Researcher of the Year in 2000 for it. Since then, I have served as an Associate Editor for the journal and also sat on the Research Committee for the 2003 revisions of the Council of Chiropractic Practice Clinical Practice Guidelines. I've done consulting work for various human performance software companies and have been a post-graduate CE instructor since 2001.

In 1995, my son Kyle was born 8 weeks premature with congenital heart defects. His surgeries left him with a paralyzed vocal cord and many developmental delays. This propelled me to study brain development in general and social brain development in particular. My work traveled into the Special Needs community, where many of the Neuro-Linguistic Programming skills I was certified in back in 1995, soon after Kyle's birth, were honed. I was able to expand my network of progressive practitioners and scientists to the point where the World Chiropractic Association created a position for me called Director of Collaborative Education. In the early part of 2004, I co-created a program called Thresholds for chiropractic students and special needs instructors that was taught at Life University in Marietta, GA. I was able to develop a series of brain-based learning workshops since that time and have been able to deliver them through live demonstrations and teleclasses.

My focus now is in offering experiential workshops on Universal Somatics, which represents the culmination of my years of interdisciplinary study on the science and art of social neurobiology. I have recently created an LLC partnership to be able to deliver this material to the general public, students and practitioners over the internet and our new body language center in Larchmont, NY. In 2008, I'm intending to publish a book on this topic too.

She is a graduate of Royal Oak Kimball High School, and majored in theatre and broadcasting at Olivet College. Horror, and especially psychological thrillers remain at the forefront of her ambitions. Bio: Who is Carmen Reed?
My name is Carmen Reed; I am the mom that lived in that haunted funeral home. I have tried for many years to walk away from this story and return to a "Normal" life. Over the years I was found several times and the story took on new life.

It took New Dominion many months to talk me into doing the story. They told me that they would treat it with respect and they wouldn't make it hokey or unbelievable. I have to admit, I was pleased with the way they handled it. Time constraints made it impossible to put everything in the documentary. There is a movie, "The Haunting in Connecticut", in development now with, "Gold Circle Films and Lionsgate". I believe it will bring a new understanding of what went on in the house.

I am now writing a book, "Demons in the Dark" with John Zaffis, the chief researcher in my home, and the always honorable Chip Coffey.

The book will deal with the subject in its entirety, however, I still needed a venue where others could come to ask questions and get spiritual advice. I never want anyone to feel alone in their journey with the supernatural or other trials in their life, when I can help because of my intuition and by what I have learned.

When someone contacted me, I would agonize over doing the right thing for my children. I also felt a responsibility to the story, and I felt it needed to be told.

When my family moved into that house, I had no knowledge or even a vocabulary to describe what was happening. Which made the responsibility direr in my opinion?

I know when the story broke in Connecticut, my children were hurt and insulted by others. I had this naive belief that the media was there to help people. I never for a minute, thought they would do anything to jeopardize my children's safety. If I had it to do over again, I would never have gone public. I work with others now, I never recommend it.

I have decided that since the story would not leave me alone, it must be kismet. I now tell the story to anyone that will sit still long enough to hear it.

I was born on Feb. 7th in London, Ontario, Canada, into a family with a spiritual history. I first learned to use her intuition under the guidance of her great-grandmother Bertha Blake who had the same gifts and read tea leaves. My writing was inspired as a child by my distant relative, William Blake, a famous poet who is well known for his artwork and intuitive poetry. I am so very grateful for the guidance I received from my great grandmother, as a child and a young adult. My mom, Carolyn Ruby, also does spiritual readings, hypnotherapy and is a Reiki Master. So this runs in our family.

I have FIVE.....YES FIVE CHILDREN. Ages 20,17,12,4 and 3 and a husband Jon.

My inspiration is the friends who have helped me in radio......Steve, Ben, John and Jeff. I am very thankful to know them.

Elaine Douglass is a board member of JAR and has been a UFO researcher since 1985. She is MUFON State Director for Utah and was State Director for Washington, DC for many years. In the 1990s she was an organizer for Operation Right to Know (ORTK), an organization which sponsored public protests against UFO secrecy. She holds a master’s degree from MIT in military policy.

Michelle Belanger's childhood could be a story straight from Ray Bradbury's October Country. Her small Midwest town featured a haunted public library, and it celebrated the return of flights of turkey vultures every year on the Ides of March.

Her home life was stranger still. Raised by her maternal grandmother, psychic experiences and ghostly phenomenon were common occurrences in the Belanger household -- but were only discussed behind closed doors. Her estranged grandfather's family included healers, tea-leaf readers, and circus freaks who openly embraced their extraordinary gifts.

Afflicted with a life-threatening heart defect from birth, Michelle endured both out of body experiences and near death experiences before the age of five. Her mother believed that these traumatic brushes with death made Michelle more sensitive to psychic phenomenon. Michelle herself believes that her skills arise from a combination of genetics, environment, and fate.

Michelle's psychic inheritance manifested in a variety of ways, the most remarkable of which was psychic vampirism. Michelle identified and came to terms with this condition while still in her teens. Her pioneering work, The Psychic Vampire Codex (Weiser, 2004), details concepts and techniques that she learned through an intensive study of her vampiric experiences. A talented vocalist, Michelle can also be heard on URN's Desecrated Ashes (2003) and Dancing with the Demigods (2006), Nox Arcana's Winter's Knight (2005), Xyla's Esoterica (2007) and the solo album, Blood of Angels (2006). She wrote the lyrics to several URN songs, Esoterica's "The God Within," and for all nine tracks on Blood of Angels.

Michelle has been involved in a number of television shows and films documenting the vampire subculture. She can be seen on the History Channel's special Vampire Secrets as well as A&E's special The Secret Life of Vampires. She has also gained notice in France thanks to Laurent Courau's book and documentary Vampyres: When Reality Goes Beyond Fiction. Other credits include Night Bites: Women and Their Vampires on WE! and American Vampires on Britain's XYTV. She also been consulted for projects on SciFi, and her work was referenced in an episode of CSI. Her radio appearances include the X-Zone, Peter Anthony Holder's Soul Call, and Coast to Coast AM.

A skilled energy worker, Michelle is the founder of House Kheperu, a magickal society with a unique style of energy work detailed in The Psychic Vampire Codex. Michelle teaches classes around the country on dreamwalking, energy exchange, spirit communication, and many other fascinating topics. Bio:
Zsuzsanna "Z" Emese Budapest is one of the most colorful women living in the United States today. Born in Hungary, only a few blocks from the studios that produced the Hungarian films, Z was influenced by the Entertainment Industry at a young age. Z fled Hungary in 1956 because of the Revolution, and thus began her adventures in the world. She studied in Innsbruck and Vienna, and earned herself an International Scholarship with the University of Chicago. Later she studied with the Second City Improvisational Theater where she studied the art of improvisation.

Z's first job in television entertainment was as the Color Girl for the CBS Network in New York. She was assigned the Ed Sullivan Show, and it was her face that CBS adjust their camera's settings to. Later, Z moved to California where she opened up a candle and book store in Venice, California. There she brought forward her Hungarian heritage and traditions, which included reading tarot cards. In 1974, she was arrested for fortune telling as a result of reading tarot cards, and that lead to her being the last person to be tried for witchcraft in the United States. Ultimately, those outdated laws were over-turned as a result of her fortitude. Z found herself immersed within the feminist culture with the likes of such notable women as her friend Gloria Steinem.

She grew as a feminist during the time of her legal battles with reading tarot. It was these two powerful influences that inspired Z to author ten internationally published books on the topics of Women's Spirituality. Ultimately, Z is accredited with the founding and propagation of the Women's Spirituality Movement, which continues to thrive to this day. Z has led rituals, lectured, taught classes, given workshops, written articles tirelessly, and published in hundreds of women's newspapers across the country. She has powerfully influenced many of the future teachers and writers about the Goddess.

In the eighties, Z created a TV show called 13th Heaven and it ran on syndicated cable to thirteen channels in the San Francisco Bay Area for seven years. She acts as the director of the Women's Spirituality Forum, a nonprofit organization sponsoring a monthly lecture series in the Bay Area about the Goddess, spirituality retreats, and annual spiral dances on Halloween. Z founded and sponsors the Dianic University. California Institute for Integral Studies recognized recently Z's contribution to Women's Spirituality Movement. Today Z focuses her attentions on the development of her latest TV project called Femina Nation, which focuses on notable women in a unique and uplifting way.

A West Virginia native, Cindy earned her BA in both Theatre and Broadcasting/ Journalism from Concord College in Athens, WV. She wears a variety of different hats for Ningen Manga Productions, including Producer, Marketing Director, and Accountant. On stage, she’s played a variety of roles with the Repertory Theatre of America, the Elkins Shakespeare Festival, the West End Dinner Theatre and Venus Theatre. Most recently, she played Barbara in the Landless Theatre Company's rendition of Night of the Living Dead in DC. She’s been in several short films in the area including Evenfall by Sapling Pictures, Toxic, and Ten Minutes, which won Best Short Film and the Shrivastava award in the American U. Visions Festival. Lonnie Martin- Writer/Director/Co-Producer:
Lonnie holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Davis and Elkins College. He has written and directed the two acclaimed short films, First Session and Under the Bed. As a writer, his screenplay Strangling Desdemona was selected as the 2000 best screenplay by the Santa Fe Writer's Project after he developed and independently published it as a comic book in 1999. His one-act play, Eight O' Clock Curfew, was produced in 2001 as part of the Source Theatre Festival in DC. That same year, his short play, Nod, was part of DC-based Cherry Red Productions' Dingleberries. Small Still Voice, the film on which he served as co-writer for Red Fox P Productions, was selected as "Best of Baltimore" in the 2005 48 Hour Film Project. More on his work can be found at

I'm a board certified Doctor of Chiropractic in my 17th year of practice, which has also included 10 years of field research on social brain development. In 1999 and 2000, I published peer-review research in the Journal of Vertebral Subluxation Research and was awarded Researcher of the Year in 2000 for it. My focus now is in offering experiential workshops on Universal Somatics, which represents the culmination of my years of interdisciplinary study on the science and art of social neurobiology. I am presently working on a book on the subject.

Metro Paranormal Investigations (MPI) is comprised of a unique array of individuals who all come from different walks of life. Together these individuals form the diverse, talented, and caring team that has become one of Michigan's most professional, paranormal research groups. MPI was envisioned by Chris Forsythe (founder) in 2005. Chris brought Wayne Miracle (co-founder) and Kevin Johnson (legal advisor) together in 2006 and MPI was incorporated. Since its incorporation MPI has grown significantly and is now one of Michigan’s premier paranormal research groups with over 25 investigations completed and at least ten potential investigations already scheduled for the beginning of 2008. The investigations MPI has completed have been as diverse as its members. MPI has experience investigating residential, places of business, and historical landmarks. MPI has been referred a case from the Lansing Police department and has the capability and manpower to investigate large areas and residences.

MPI’s services are free of charge, and our client’s information is kept confidential at all times. By using all forms of investigation tools, and thorough analysis and documentation, we will bring any evidence that we have gathered to our clients in a professional manner. We will make sure our clients have options other than being afraid. Our mission is simple, to work with a client and address their needs, but also gain a further understanding in answering our own questions. Second Hour: Historic Haunts
Bio:
Tonya and Andy Keyser live near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. They have been actively working in the field of ghost research for more than 8 years. After moving to Gettysburg, and noting the sheer number of ghost tour companies in the town (over 15 in 2007), they became very interested in “ghost culture,” or why people are interested in ghost stories, why people want to investigate reports of hauntings, and how the media influences beliefs in the paranormal. They decided to produce a documentary about the culture of ghost research in America. Exspiro Productions was founded, and the first of their films, The Other Side: Giving up the Ghost, was born. In the past year, Tonya completed the first draft of her book and founded The Journal of Paranormal Research. Andy is currently working on his first book. Together, they produced a comedy film about ghost hunters, along with the first episode in a DVD series. Currently, they are producing the second DVD in the series, which focuses upon the reported hauntings of the Cashtown Inn. They are in pre-production for the sequel to American Ghost Watchers, their comedy. The Other Side and American Ghost Watchers will be screened at the upcoming Dead of Winter Film Festival March 1. American Ghost Watchers can also be seen at TAPSCON this summer.
